About Me

My Mum taught me to bake from a young age, some of my earliest memories were of making pastry and sponge cakes stood on my little red chair at the worktop. I have loved it ever since and I find it a very important way for me to relax and unwind. I derive a lot of pleasure from seeing my friends and family enjoy what I have made and I love sharing and swapping recipes - in fact that is how this blog first came about. I started posting over 5 years ago but I have recently revamped it after a 4 year hiatus - I was busy becoming a Mummy to my two wonderful little boys - and, whilst I still baked, I found I didn't have the time to keep my blog updated whilst working and raising my little family. Now, however, the time feels right to revisit my blog and start sharing all these wonderful recipes I discover, alongside firm family favourites that have been passed down through the generations. I have found an even deeper joy in baking and that is being able to pass down the recipes and teach them to my two little boys, who stand at the worktop just as I did as a child and, as always, watching my husband enjoy being main taste tester!
